Hello ASCLS Student Members!

I hope you enjoyed your winter break, and hopefully you are back into the swing of things as you take on spring semester!

I would like to remind you of a couple ASCLS events this coming Spring of 2016 that you are all welcome to attend. I encourage you to look into attending these events, as they are great experiences for students in the Medical Laboratory Science field.

The first is the 2016 ASCLS Legislative Symposium (Leg. Day) held Monday March 14th – Tuesday March 15th in Alexandria, VA. During this event, Ohio delegates from ASCLS and other Medical Laboratory professional organizations present current laboratory issues to congressional representatives and senators. You too could serve as an Ohio delegate and make a difference in your future profession by lobbying to our legislators during this great opportunity! To learn more about last year’s Ohio Student Delegates and their experience, check out http://laboratory-manager.advanceweb.com/Columns/Association-News/ASCLS-Voice-A-Look-Back-at-the-2015-Legislative-Symposium.aspx.

The second event is the Ohio Collaborative Laboratory Conference (CLC) held Wednesday April 13th – Friday April 15th in Columbus, OH. This event is a great educational conference, and it is also a good opportunity for networking. If you have a competitive side, there is a fun academic challenge held for students on the last day of the event.

If you are interested in attending either one of the events mentioned above, please contact ASCLS Ohio for more information.

Thank you,
